Manual backup

Manual backup allows you to create an on-demand snapshot of your database instance. This is available for Standard, Professional, and Enterprise plan users.

Prerequisites

Before creating a backup, ensure that:

  • Your database instance is in a running state.
  • You have sufficient permissions to perform backup operations.

Create a manual backup

  1. Log in to NebulaGraph Cloud and navigate to your project.
  2. In the left navigation pane, click Backup under your database instance.
  3. In the upper-right corner of the page, click the Backup button.
  4. Wait for the backup process to complete. The backup status will change from Running to Succeeded.

    Note

Avoid write operations during the backup period to ensure data consistency.

View backup list

The backup list displays all available backups for your database instance. Each backup entry includes the following information:

Column Description
ID The unique identifier of the backup.
Created At The timestamp when the backup was created.
Status The current status of the backup (e.g., Succeeded, In Progress, Failed).
Size The total size of the backup file.
Expires In (Days) The number of days until the backup is automatically deleted.
Creation Type Indicates whether the backup was created manually or by a scheduled job.
Actions Available operations for the backup, such as Restore.

Delete a backup

Backups are automatically deleted after the retention period expires. Currently, manual deletion of individual backups is not supported. To manage storage costs, configure an appropriate retention period for scheduled backups.
